Yesterday evening we closed up the camp as our final group departed and another summer season drew to an end. Since opening on the 31st May, we have spent 13 weeks with 9 wonderful groups and we are so grateful for the love and friendship shown by all.We thank our camp staff of 2025, who do so much to create the best experience that they can for those who visit Knockadoon, as well as our chefs; Áine, Róisín and Tessie for the beautiful meals they prepare. We give a special thank you to Áine our head chef, and Orlaith our Camp Manager as they leave their roles in Knockadoon Camp to begin new adventures elsewhere💙As always, the campers; leaders; friends and especially the staff of Knockadoon thank our Camp Director Fr. Luuk for the unwavering love that he shows to the camp and it's mission. Knockadoon Camp was delighted to welcome Aidan from the NBSCCCI today! He met with our KYW leaders and campers to find out more about how safeguarding works in Dominican youth ministry, and we were thrilled to have our Provincial, Fr John, as well as DLP Mary Tallon present too. Just two more days until the conclusion of our KYW programme for 2025, and we are endlessly grateful for the input of all the leaders, Dominicans, staff and friends of Knockadoon who continue to create such a safe and happy environment for young people to come together.
